Grant Pierrus.
I have spent over a decade working in art, collectible design and interiors. In the studios, the galleries, the workshops and the fairs, with the people who make and the people who buy.
Through Pierrus Agency I work with some of the most considered design businesses in the world, across the UK, Europe, the United States and the Middle East. I help them understand and articulate their value. The best studios and makers know how good their work is. What they often cannot see is how to say it: how to position what they do, how to elevate a project with the right collectible design and craft, how to find the market and the narrative that prove who they are.
I advise collectors and clients on what to buy, at fairs, in galleries and directly from the studios. And on the harder question underneath it, which is what is worth owning at all.
With Alex Dauley I co-founded AEVEN, to bring the people in this industry into the same room.
I also write. This journal is where I do it. The studios I am in, the work that stops me, the pieces worth the money and the makers worth knowing. First-hand, in the room, in the present tense.
